Jamshedpur: Young Sikh religious preacher and thinker Gyani Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri returned to India on Sunday after completing a 20-day religious outreach tour of Malaysia, praising the Sikh community there for living the values of Gurbani, Gurmat, and selfless service in everyday life.
Sharing his experiences after returning to Jamshedpur, Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri said the deep faith, discipline, and unity of the Malaysian Sikh diaspora left a lasting impression on him. Associated with the Gurmat Prachar Centre, he said the visit strengthened religious bonds and showcased how Sikh principles continue to guide communities beyond national boundaries.
During his Malaysia visit, Jamshedpuri addressed congregations at several gurdwaras, where he observed strong participation in Gurbani vichar and collective seva. He noted that Sikhs in Malaysia place Gurmat above politics and serve gurdwaras as humble sevaks rather than office bearers, reflecting the true teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib.
“The sense of selfless service and respect for Gurmat among Sikhs in Malaysia is extraordinary,” he said, adding that their dedication brought him deep spiritual fulfilment. He also highlighted the keen interest shown by Sikh youth and families in understanding Gurbani in depth, describing it as an encouraging sign for the future of the faith.
On his return, Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri was accorded a warm welcome by members of the Sikh Naujawan Sabha and office-bearers of the Gurmat Prachar Centre. Gyani Jarnail Singh, Granthi Jathedar of the Sakchi Gurdwara, appreciated the outreach initiative, saying such efforts inspire Sikh youth and strengthen community morale.
Appealing to young people, Jamshedpuri urged them to embrace the spirit of seva and actively spread the message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji across the world. He said his Malaysia visit was a step towards reinforcing global Sikh unity, peace, equality, and selfless service.
Summing up, Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri said the journey reaffirmed the enduring light of Sikhism and demonstrated how meaningful engagement with the diaspora can empower the community to face global challenges with faith and unity.
