Jamshedpur Women’s University students shine in Youth Parliament Debate competition

Jamshedpur, May 21: In a remarkable achievement, three girl students from Jamshedpur Women’s University have been selected for the prestigious ‘Youth Parliament Debate’, organized by ISM Dhanbad. Out of ten girl students representing universities from all over Jharkhand, these talented individuals from Jamshedpur Women’s University stood out among the rest.

The esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta, expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the selected girl students, emphasizing the pride they brought to the university. She also extended her best wishes for their future endeavors. The competition witnessed the participation of thirty girl students from the university in the initial phase, out of which five were shortlisted for further rounds.

The jury panel for the university-level competition comprised respected individuals such as Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Kishwar Ara, Head of Department of Music, Dr. Sanatan Deep, Head of Department of English, Dr. Manisha Titus, and Dr. Vishwaraj Lal from Biotechnology. On May 15, the five girl students connected online with ISM Dhanbad for the first phase. Across Jharkhand state, ten students from various universities were chosen to proceed to the next level.

The three talented girl students from Jamshedpur Women’s University who successfully secured their place in the competition are Marisha Pandey (B.Sc Biotech), Anshika Mandal (B.Sc Chemistry), and Vasudhara Mandal (B.Sc Chemistry). These exceptional students will represent the university at the upcoming second level competition in New Delhi. The university has made all necessary arrangements for their travel, providing them with third AC train tickets and ensuring their accommodation. The second level competition in New Delhi will witness the participation of students from different states across India. The winners of this highly anticipated event will be honored with the prestigious Youth Icon Award on June 5, 2023.
