Jamshedpur, July 19: In a unique learning initiative, 75 political science students from Jamshedpur Women’s University have begun an internship on the Panchayati Raj system, organised by Nature Sanstha in the Bagbera Zila Parishad area.

The internship is being conducted under the guidance of Professor and District Councilor Dr. Kavita Parmar. Students will gain hands-on exposure to the structure, functions, and operations of the three-tier Panchayati Raj system. Their training includes direct interaction with local leaders such as Mukhiyas and Panchayat Samiti members across various panchayats in the Bagbera region.

Classroom sessions are being held at the Anugrah Narayan Singh Shikshan Evam Seva Sansthan, where subject experts will provide in-depth knowledge on governance, administration, and rural development. Additionally, environmental awareness is also part of the curriculum, highlighting the importance of sustainable development in local governance.

Dr. Kavita Parmar noted the enthusiasm among students and expressed confidence that this practical experience will not only aid their academic and career growth but also enhance their leadership abilities for the future.
