Jamshedpur, July 2: Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RVS College of Engineering and Technology (RVSCET), with the aim to explore various possibilities in terms of research projects, joint publications and other mutual benefits for girl students. The collaboration also includes a Faculty Exchange Programme between the two institutions.
The Vice-Chancellor of Jamshedpur Women’s University, Prof (Dr) Anjila Gupta said, “This MoU is a crucial step towards fostering mutual cooperation in the field of research and development in science and technology. It is expected that this partnership will have a positive impact not only on the students and faculty of both institutions but also on society.”
The VC mentioned that the MoU would facilitate faculty and students of both the institutions with additional facilities of sharing lecture sessions, laboratories, and libraries through faculty exchange. “The primary objective of this agreement is to enhance the technology skills of girl students in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The MoU will provide comprehensive information on technology and allied skill development. Additionally, joint skill training programmes will be organized through online and offline modes to make research and teaching more engaging,” averred JWU VC, Prof (Dr) Anjila Gupta.
The MoU had been designed to reap the benefits of joint and collaborated participation that would open doors for organizing seminars, conferences and workshops together. The memorandum has proposals for research and sponsored training programmes by government and private agencies and would also support business incubation and design projects thereby providing students opportunities to gain first-hand experience.
In line with the requirements of postgraduate (PG) and PhD girl students, the MoU will enable the exchange of information on technology and research and evaluation programs. “It (MoU) aims to create an environment conducive to research and innovation in which students can benefit from counselling combined with the dissemination of studies,” stated the JWU VC and added, “This MoU marks a significant milestone in promoting cooperation, knowledge exchange and the overall development of girl students in the field of science and technology. The collaborative efforts between Jamshedpur Women’s University and RVS College of Engineering & Technology are expected to yield fruitful results and contribute to the advancement of research and development in the region.”
