Jamshedpur Women’s University adjudged second in Jharkhand Voting Awareness Reel Contest

Jamshedpur, April 29: The Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU) secured the second place in the Jharkhand Voting Awareness Reel Contest.

The Voting Awareness Contest was organised by the Election Commission. The CEO of Jharkhand Election Commission explained the significance of voting and encouraged students to exercise their right to vote.

The  event included ,Short film, Reel, poster making and music video  Out of 200  reels, 10 reels were selected, and Jamshedpur Women’s University Journalism And Mass Communication Department received the 2nd institutional award

The Vice Chancellor of Jamshedpur Women’s University, Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta encouraged the students and said that all should vote.  “It is our duty for the nation”

The Reel was created under the guidance of Shalini Prasad (Faculty  of Journalism and Mass Communication Department) along with the Department’s  four students  Varsha Kumari, Bhumika Singh, Madhumita Bera and Joyshree Gorai. This encouraged the students and underscored the importance of using creative platforms to spread awareness about critical issues.
