Jamshedpur, June 2: The Examination Control Committee of Jamshedpur Women’s College (JWC) has, in a meeting decided to waive the mid-semester examination fees of students to appear in graduation post graduation and vocational courses exams.
JWC Principal dr Shukla Mohanty has informed that during the committee meeting it was decided to waive the mid-semester examination fees as it was felt that parents and guardians of students were in the throes of financial constraints arising out of the prevailing COVID conditions and losses sustained during the recent Yaas Cyclone. Dr Mohanty said that students could send in the relevant documents on the JWC e-mail ID to avail of the relief. “Students should not feel shy to inform of their financial problems. No student will; be deprived of appearing in examinations because of financial constraints. They may unhesitatingly inform the College,” she said.
The final semester examinations of the UG, PG and vocational courses will be held in the first week of July. JWC Principal Dr Shukla Mohanty stated, “To aid the students in their preparations, model questions have been made available on the College’s website. The matter of holding the examinations online or otherwise will depend on the prevailing conditions at that time.”
The others who participated in the committee meeting included Controller of Examinations Dr Rama Subramanium, Head of Science Department Dr Javed Ahmad, Deputy Controller of Examinations Dr Rupali Patra, Dr Gloria Purty, Principal Assistant Vishwambhar Yadav and other members of the Examination Committee.
