Jamshedpur, Aug 29: A woman, identified as Mangli Machhua, resident of Sonari Domuhani, was injured in a mysterious firing on Monday. She was taken to Tata Main Hospital where her condition was reportedly serious.
Sources said Mangli sustained a bullet wound in her neck. Her mother Sushila Machhua claimed her daughter had found a gun near Sonari dumping yard in the evening. When she picked up the gun, it went off, injuring her in the neck.
Senior police officials led by SP City K Vijay Shankar reached the hospital and later visited Sonari to prove the incident.
