Jamshedpur, Sept 20: Parsudih Makdampur resident, Md Naushad met the SSP and complained about threats he had been receiving for taking the lid off a racket involving issuing of false passports and sending people abroad. According to Md Naushad, Md Ishtiyaq Malik, one time business partner of his elder brother, Shakeel, after breaking off the partnership in 2019 due to certain disputes, had opened up a new business in the name and style of ‘Golden Manpower International Consultants’ with office in Jugsalai. Naushad’s elder brother, Shakeel too had set up his business, ‘Iconic Overseas Services’ with office in Makdampur, Parsudih.
Md Naushad alleged that Md Ishtiyaq was involved in a racket of preparing counterfeit passports and facilitating the illegal migration of individuals to foreign countries. Naushad further alleged that employees at Ishtiyaq’s office tampered with photographs on passports and often resorted to other deceptive ways to clear foreign passage of their firm’s clients.
“This ‘passport scam’ has now come under the notice of authorities concerned in Mumbai, and Md Ishtiyaq Malik, in repercussion, has threatened me with dire consequences,” stated Md Naushad.
Naushad has appealed to the police administration to investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
