Jamshedpur, Jan 11: Jamshedpur West MLA Banna Gupta convened a meeting with the officials of various government departments on Saturday and issued a host of instructions to them regarding reinstatement of civic amenities in different parts of his constituency.
Reviewing the condition of highway passing through Mango, Gupta directed officials of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to ensure timely completion of road construction from Pardih Kali Mandir to Baliguma. He also asked the officials to make sure that drainage issues are sorted out in the various localities situated alongside the highway. He asked them to remove iron poles from highway and make alternative arrangements for continuous power supply. He said under-ground power cables should be installed by the department.
The MLA further asked the NHAI officials to remove trees obstructing speedy implementation of the NH construction project. He asked the circle officer (CO) to free government land of encroachment.
Addressing officials of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) and Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) to get defunct street-lights cleaned within 10 days. He also ordered cleaning of drains and roads on a regular basis. He asked JSEB officials to install additional transformers in areas suffering from load shedding.
