Jamshedpur walks for a healthy heart

Jamshedpur, Sept 29: Tata Main Hospital (TMH) observed World Heart Day on Tuesday, September 29 to raise public awareness about heart diseases and the importance of a healthy heart. On the occasion, A Walk for Healthy Heart was organized at JRD Sports Complex.

A total of 550 doctors from TMH, Tata Steel employees and residents of Jamshedpur participated in the walk.
The walk began from JRD Sports Complex at 6:15 am, crossed Keenan Stadium, Baag-e-Jamshed, Jubliee Park and then back to the venue.

Free medical check-up of Blood sugar and BP were organised at the venue. On the sidelines, participants also took a pledge for a healthy heart and an enriched life.

Earlier the walk was flagged off by Anand Sen, President, TQM & Steel Business, Tata Steel.

Present on the occasion were Mrs Ruchi Narendran, Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, Suresh Dutt Tripathi, Vice President, Human Resource Management, Tata Steel, Rajeev Singhal, Vice President, Raw Material, Tata Steel and Ashish Mathur, Managing Director, Jusco.
