Jamshedpur, Dec 9: Sacred Heart Convent School orchestrated a spectacular event as it hosted its 72nd Annual Sports Meet at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday, December 9. The festivities, filled with enthusiasm and camaraderie, showcased the students’ zeal and sportsmanship. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Executive Officer of Jamshedpur FC and Chief Sports Tata Steel.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome extended by School Principal Sister Rashmita A.C., who also unfurled the school flag. Mukul Vinayak Choudhari officially declared the Sports Meet open, followed by a vibrant March Past by four squads – Crimson, Green, Gold, and Violet, led by School President Shabda Rao.

Sister Rashmita A.C. emphasized the importance of a sound mind in a sound body, encouraging students to excel in both academics and sports. The event featured captivating displays, including Karate and Yoga, as well as a Drill Display showcasing mass student participation.
Chief Guest urged children to embrace sports not only for fitness but also for the numerous avenues it opens for excellence.
Violet House was declared the overall champion. Best Discipline Squad Award went to Green House. Sheetal Tudu of Class 10, Anushka Pandey of Class 9 and Sonalika Das of Class 11 bagged the individual championship.
Special awards were presented to students who participated in the CISCE 67th National School Games across various disciplines such as Yoga, Chess, Handball, Tennis, High Jump, Taekwondo, Swimming, and Boxing.
The closing ceremony concluded with a march past, delivering a strong message of camaraderie and unity. Mukul Vinayak Choudhari awarded medals and certificates of excellence to the deserving winners.
