Jamshedpur, Oct 11: The Vijaya Garden Central Puja Committee is gearing up for its 10th-year celebration of Durga Puja in Baridih. The Baridih Vijaya Garden Central Committee has chosen cleanliness as the central theme for this year’s festivities. What makes this Puja special is the participation of men and women who jointly engage in every aspect of the Puja preparations.
The Puja Committee, led by President Subrato Sarkar and Executive President Vijay Singh includes General Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, Adviser Mukesh Kumar, B.K. Prasad, R.K. Tiwari, S.N. Singh, Parshuram Singh, Narsingh Rao, Media Coordinator Navin Kumar Verma, and Treasurer Jyotsna Singh.
According to the Durga Puja Committee’s Media Coordinator, Navin Kumar Verma, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto will inaugurate the Puja pandal on Shashthi. The four day Puja celebration will include cultural presentations.
The Puja will also feature community Bhog on all three days and, after the immersion of Goddess Durga’s idol on October 27 (Friday), a grand Vijaya Milan ceremony with an array of culinary delights will be organized.
