Jamshedpur: Various organizations were awarded during the Tusu fair organized at Sonari Domuhani on Monday. Cash prizes were given for chowral (pillar built for Tusu celebration) and the idol of Goddess Tusu.
The first prize, Rs 21,000, was given to Sarbajanik Mansa Samiti of Seraikela-Kharsawan for Tusu idol while the first prize of Rs 15,000 for chowral was given to Jai Ma Club of Khunti. Other award winners included Shivpuja Sosomoli, Rajnagar, Jai Ma Durga Samiti, Khunti, Rajesh Mahato, Galudih, Puja Sardar, Bantanagar, Neela Lohar, Bantanagar and Soren Bhumij, Potka.
The organizers of the Tusu fair included Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi, JMM leader Ramdas Soren, Mohan Karmakar, Astik Mahato, HK Khan and Raju Giri.
