Jamshedpur, June 21: Jamshedpur Local Trailor Owners Union will stage a day long chakka jam agitation in support of their demands at Jamshedpur on Tuesday and threatened of not allowing any heavy vehicle to enter Tata Steel company gate during the agitation.
The union president, Jai Kishore Singh said that they have been raising their demands for the last two months but no one has listened to their grievances forcing them to resort to agitation. He said that due to steep increase in prices of fuels they were wanting a significant and proportionate hike in rates for carrying consignment from the company but the Tata Steel vendors and authorities are not listening to their genuine demands.
They threatened that their agitaition would commence from 6 am on Tuesday and no heavy vehicles will be allowed to ply on the occasion and warned that if any one is found driving a heavy vehicle then the damage to the vehicle would be borne by the owner himself.
They also warned that if their demands are not addressed even after day long agitation then they would launch an indefinite agitation..
