Jamshedpur: In a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting football as a way of life and fostering community engagement, Jamshedpur is set to launch the Jamshedpur Super League Father’s Division this Sunday. This groundbreaking league brings together fathers of grassroots kids from prominent institutions, including Loyola School, Carmel School, and Tinplate Open Grassroots Football Center.
The league provides a unique platform for fathers to engage in competitive football, bond with their children, and experience the game from their kids’ perspective. The Jamshedpur Super League Father’s Division features 6 teams, each comprising 8 players, and will be held every Sunday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex Archery Ground.
Over the course of 10 weeks, each team will play 10 matches, with a total of 30 matches scheduled where a total of 48 fathers will compete. Each match will have a duration of 25 minutes. This innovative approach is designed to promote football as a sport and a way of life, while also fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the game among parents and children.
By putting parents in their kids’ shoes, the league aims to create a positive and supportive environment, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition. As the fathers take to the field, they will not only be competing for their teams but also inspiring their children and setting a positive example for the next generation of football enthusiasts.
