Jamshedpur: Preparations for Rajasthan Mahotsav 2026 are gaining momentum in the city, with organizers stepping up efforts to ensure a grand celebration. The three-day festival is being organized by the East Singhbhum District Marwari Sammelan and will be held from May 17 to May 19 at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.
A key planning meeting was recently held at Maharaja Agrasen Marg in Kashidih, where members discussed arrangements, program schedules, and overall event structure. Presiding over the meeting, Sammelan President Mukesh Mittal said the festival is not only a cultural event but also a symbol of the identity, unity, and pride of the Marwari community in the district.
The Mahotsav will showcase Rajasthan’s rich culture, traditions, art, and cuisine. Each day will feature a variety of cultural programmes, including folk music, traditional dances, theatre performances, and modern acts. Well-known artists from Rajasthan are expected to participate, adding to the grandeur of the event. Popular singer Seema Mishra and vocalist Sanjay Mukund Garg are scheduled to perform, while a Rajasthani play by artists from Gujarat will be one of the major attractions.
Visitors will also get to enjoy authentic Rajasthani food, with stalls offering popular dishes such as dal-bati-churma, ghevar, and kachori. Apart from cultural events, sports activities, competitions, and entertainment programmes will be organized for children and youth.
To mark the occasion, the Sammelan will release a souvenir highlighting the history, achievements, and contributions of the Marwari community in East Singhbhum. Organizers expressed confidence that the festival will be a grand success.
