Jamshedpur, June 14: A meeting of the East Singhbhum District Kho Kho Association was held on Friday at the Scout Guide Auditorium in Sakchi, Jamshedpur, to finalize preparations for the upcoming District-Level Kho Kho Championship 2025. The meeting, presided over by Association Treasurer Shyam Sharma, saw active participation from key officials and stakeholders.
It was unanimously decided that the championship will be organized on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 7:30 am onwards in Jamshedpur. The event will include competitions for junior and senior boys and girls. Players from schools, plus two schools, colleges, and registered clubs across East Singhbhum district are eligible to participate through team registration.
Participants must bring valid identification documents including a birth certificate, Aadhaar card, and a passport-size photograph. For additional details, interested players or coaches may contact Technical Head Dayal Singh Mehra at 9031928591.
The championship will serve as the selection ground for forming the East Singhbhum district team that will represent the region in the upcoming State-Level Junior Kho Kho Championship, scheduled for the first week of July 2025.
To ensure smooth organization, several committees have been formed, each entrusted with specific responsibilities. District Secretary Victor Vijay urged all units to ensure maximum participation and also appealed to former players to support the initiative. He announced that top performers will be felicitated during the event.
Prominent attendees included Sachin Victor Vijay, Ajay Sharma, W Rehman, Arbaaz Hussain, Virendra Mishra, Akanksha Kumari, and others.
