Jamshedpur, Dec 29: East Singhbhum district administration bulldozed several shops of Congress leader Aftab Ahmed Siddiqui situated in Kanderbera. The shops were allegedly built on encroached government land. A large number of armed police personnel were present during the anti-encroachment drive.
Sources said the anti-encroachment drive was carried out near the National Highway. Three shops were pulled down by a bulldozer. Siddique ran Raj Crane Services in one of these shops. He has been sent to jail earlier. His son Gibran Siddique alleged that the demolition of his father’s shops was politically motivated.
