Jamshedpur: Three persons attack woman jewellery shop owner in Sidhgora, caught on CCTV

Jamshedpur, Dec 1: Three persons have been booked for assaulting a woman who owns a jewellery shop in Baridih. The incident that took place recently has been caught on CCTV cameras and complaint has been registered against the three assailants two of whom have been identified as Arvind Tiwari and LB Singh, residents of Birsanagar.

According to the complainant who stays in Birsanagar, the trio suddenly entered her shop at 1.15 pm on Monday and started abusing her. She told the Sidhgora police that when she protested against their behaviour they got physical. The accused beat her up, misbehaved with her and also tried to disrobe her.

Hearing the commotion in the jewellery shop passersby started milling around and this frightened off the trio who threatened the woman with dire consequences before rushing out of the shop. The woman has told Sidhgora police that she was alone at the shop because her husband is not well and she had been running the shop.

Based on the CCTV footage the police have registered a complaint accusing the trio of physically assaulting and misbehaving with the woman and have started probing the matter.
