Jamshedpur, July 30: Jamshedpur Tent Dealers Welfare Organization (JTDWO) are up in arms against certain clubs in the city who have allowed handpicked tent houses to set up offices in their premises thereby affecting their business in general. Irate organization members today went to meet TWU president R Ravi Prasad today at his office. But the TWU chief declined a discussion on the ground of his being busy nd asked the delegation to fix an appointment for a meeting on some other date.
JTDWO general secretary Om Prakash Singh stated that many clubs were allowing their favourite tent house dealers to operate from their premises with a tagline that people hiring the club precincts were to avail tent house services only from the ones operating from the respective clubs. This led to such tent house owners demanding exorbitant rates which led to burning holes in many pockets. This has to stop and old ways should be brought back so that the clientele may avail of tent house services that suit their budget, Singh said.
