No major change in Jharkhand weather for next five days: IMD
Jamshedpur, January 13: The minimum temperature has risen across Jharkhand, including Kolhan, providing some relief from the intense cold. Jamshedpur recorded a minimum temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius, reflecting the warming trend observed across the state.
The coldest night was reported in Namkum, Ranchi, at 9 degrees Celsius. Temperature in other districts included Gumla at 9.9 degrees, Khunti at 10.3 degrees, and Jamtara at 10.1 degrees. In comparison, districts such as Daltonganj recorded 14.3 degrees, Bokaro 13.1 degrees, Chaibasa 10 degrees, and Chatra 12.6 degrees. Similarly, Deoghar, Dhanbad, and Hazaribagh reported minimum temperatures of 13, 11.6, and 12 degrees, respectively.
The Meteorological Department, Ranchi Center, forecasts no significant changes in the state’s minimum temperature over the next five days. However, a slight dip of 2-4 degrees Celsius is expected in the northwestern districts, including Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar, and Lohardaga, in the next 1-2 days.
Despite this fluctuation, temperatures are expected to stabilize, providing respite for residents during the upcoming Makar Sankranti festival. The department advises citizens to stay updated on weather conditions and plan accordingly for the changing temperatures.
