Jamshedpur, Sept 2: Tata Steel’s Sports Department organised Inter-JDC Rafting Tournament on September 1 and 2 at the Water Sports Centre, Dimna.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic from 32 JDC Units of Tata Steel. More than 260 participants showcased their talent in this year’s competition.
In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, Coke Plant team emerged as the winner, whereas team of Hot Strip Mill bagged the runner’s up position. Engineering Services emerged as the 2nd runner’s up.
To ensure fair play and adherence to the rules, the tournament benefited from the expertise of renowned technical officials, including Anwesha Sinha, Ankit Mishra and Tata Steel Adventure team who performed their roles admirably.
The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Rafting skills and foster a healthy competitive spirit.
Shatrughan Kumar Roy, Vice President, Tata Workers’ Union (TWU) graced the occasion as Chief Guest with Vinod Kumar Thakur, Committee Member, TWU during the prize distribution ceremony.
