Jamshedpur: Tatanagar RPF nabs 2 member of Sansi gang for looting passengers 

Jamshedpur, December 15: Two members of the Sansi Gang, which is notorious for stealing passengers  goods from running trains across the country, have been arrested by the flying squad team of RPF.

Tatanagar RPF in-charge Sanjay Kumar Tiwari gave this information on Friday. He told that many such cases have been registered in Tatanagar and surrounding stations in which the involvement of this Sansi gang of Haryana has come to light. The flying squad team of Tatanagar RPF on suspicion of this incident, when the RPF tried to catch four people traveling in the AC coach of Ispat Express coming from Rourkela to Tatanagar near Adityapur station, three of them ran away while one was caught.

Later his other associate was caught near Adityapur Yard. His two other companions managed to escape. During the investigation, a keypad mobile, Rs 3,000 in cash, tools used in theft and stolen jewelery worth about Rs 3.5 lakh were recovered from them.

RPF in-charge said that the arrested accused include Tinku alias Mota and Balwant alias Kala, residents of Haryana. While two other associates Bittu Kumar and Anoop Singh have managed to escape and are being searched.

All of them are residents of Haryana and are associated with Sansi gang. During interrogation, information was received that these people had stolen jewelery worth lakhs from the bag of a woman coming from Howrah to Tatanagar. Apart from this, 15 days ago, jewelery worth Rs 35 lakh was stolen from a traveler in Rourkela. In that case both will be taken on remand and interrogated.
