Jamshedpur, April 17: The contract to run the Tatanagar railway station parking was awarded to Rajesh Singh of SAIL Engineering on Sunday for the highest bid of Rs 4.19 crore. The tender was passed for a three year period by the Commercial and Finance department of Chakradharpur Rail Division. SS Multi Services was the second highest bidder, sources said.
Sources said the railway station parking would be handed over to Rajesh Singh following deposition of the tender fee. The handover is expected to get over by Monday night. The railway station authorities have been running the parking lot on a temporary basis for the last 16 days.
Rajesh Singh is also the contractor of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC). He was awarded the contract for the parking area near Basant Central at Sakchi.
