Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Lime Plant new canteen Trolley Point inaugurated

Jamshedpur, Dec 5: A new canteen Trolley Point was inaugurated on Tuesday at Tata Steel’s Lime Plant and the foundation was laid for a rest room for the Diverse Workforce employees. The new canteen Trolley Point was decided upon in view of the older version’s deteriorated condition that was causing inconvenience to employees. It may be mentioned that the TWU committee members had repeatedly urged the company management with the necessity of an improved canteen Trolley Point especially considering the increasing number of Diverse Workforce employees. The TWU also emphasized the need for a rest room.

Departmental Committee Member and President of Tata Workers Union (TWU) Sanjeev Choudhary (Tunnu Choudhary) made significant efforts towards realization of these two requirements. The proposal for constructing a canteen trolley point and a rest room for Diverse Workforce employees was approved by the management.

Those present on the occasion included V.P. Steel Manufacturing Chaitanya Bhanu, V.P. HRM Atrayee Sanyal, TWU President Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, Chief of Long Product Vineet Shah, Chief Lime Plant Rajeev Malhotra, department heads, committee members Rajesh Kumar and Rishabh Shukla, along with all officers and employees of the company. The vote of thanks was presented by JDC Vice Chairman Praveen Dhiraj Khalkho.
