Tata Motors flags off campaign to save environment

Jamshedpur: Communities around the city came together for the single largest annual celebration of environment on Saturday. Tata Motors Jamshedpur launched a campaign to spread awareness on dengue prevention, waste Segregation, No use of Plastic and Save Water.

Under this campaign, the company is trying to reach out each individual residing in the township. Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant head inaugurated the event at sumant Moolgaokar stadium in presence of the entire senior leadership team long with the union members.

The event also saw a massive participation of 523 school children from 11 city schools and more than 150 employee volunteers & town sanitation staff.
Students of Little Flower School, Hill Top and Shiksha Niketan were seen holding placards with message ‘Save Water Save Nature’, ‘Don’t throw your garbage into sea, keep it clean for you and me’, ‘Save Planet Say No to plastic bags’ etc to a create awareness towards a clean, green and safe environment.

According to a press communiqu� issued by Tata Motors on Monday evening, ‘The company continues endeavor to work for environment and being the pioneer of the environment initiatives organized one of its kind of campaign. Door to door campaign on environmental issues and health and hygiene’.

It further stated that Govt. Of Jharkhand has requested Tata Motors to actively participate in �Beat Plastic� campaign. Especially when rains are just round the corner diseases due to mosquitoes can always be minimized through preventive measures, and awareness campaign will also sensitize the community regarding it.
