Jamshedpur students benefit from Rotary West’s mental health awareness session

Jamshedpur, Aug 11: Acknowledging the global urgency of addressing mental health concerns at an early stage of life, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West embarked on a significant initiative. The club organized a session titled “Mental Health & Well-being,” targeting school students as a primary focus group. The event took place at Narbheram Hansraj English School and witnessed the participation of 110 students from class XI.

Consultant Psychologist, doctorate researcher, counselor, motivational speaker, author, and social activist, Rtn. Preeti Saini, led the enlightening session. Her expertise spans a range of areas, including spiritual healing and medical clairvoyance. The students benefited greatly from the interactive discourse, gaining insights into maintaining optimal mental and emotional health.

The session held particular significance, considering the pressing need to address mental health concerns among students, teenagers, working professionals, and individuals of all ages and genders. The event saw the presence of esteemed guests, including the School Principal, Mrs. Paromita Roy Choudhary, and School Committee Members Varsha Gandhi and Devesh Gandhi.

The occasion also welcomed prominent members of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, including President Rtn. Neeta Agarwal, Secretary Rtn. Ashok Jha, and members Rtn. Gurpreet Bhatia, PP Rtn. Dr. Rita Jha, Rtn. Monica Burman, Rtn. Madhulika, Rtn. Anupama Sehgal, Rtn. Sapna Talwar, and Rtn. Radhika Dhandhania.

A special acknowledgment was extended to Rtn. Gurpreet Bhatia, National Secretary for “Jeevan,” who shared valuable insights on mental and emotional health with the students. She provided helpline numbers, ensuring that students have access to the necessary support for any stress-related issues.
