Jamshedpur SSP holds monthly crime review meeting

Jamshedpur, Sept 15: To strengthen law and order and ensure effective crime control in the city, a monthly crime review meeting was held presided over by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Piyush Pandey.

The meeting was attended by all city Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors, and Station House Officers (SHOs).

During the session, special focus was laid on crime prevention, speedy disposal of pending cases, effective use of digital platforms, and security arrangements for upcoming major events.

At the outset, SSP Piyush Pandey instructed all police officers to prioritize the disposal of pending cases, including criminal warrants and property attachment matters.

He directed every SHO to take responsibility and ensure timely action against offenders.

He also emphasized faster processing of passport and character verification cases to provide better public service.

The SSP stressed the need for intensive campaigns to arrest absconding criminals and instructed officers to make maximum use of modern technology.

He highlighted the importance of effectively operating the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS), Sexual Offence Investigation Tracking System, Integrated Road Accident Database, Dial-112 helpline, Jharkhand Online FIR System, and the e-evidence system.

These measures, he said, would not only strengthen crime control but also make grievance redressal quicker and more transparent.

Special directives were issued regarding the upcoming Ghatshila assembly by-election and the Durga Puja festival.

SSP Pandey asked officers to remain alert, maintain public trust, and ensure peaceful conduct of events.

He emphasized that public safety should remain the top priority and instructed strict accountability for all officers to prevent any untoward incidents.

Concluding the meeting, SSP Pandey made it clear that the goal of the police is not just crime control but also maintaining communal harmony in society.

He directed all officers to ensure that upcoming festivals and elections are conducted peacefully, with effective law enforcement and adherence to administrative guidelines
