Jamshedpur, July 31: Six Health and Wellness Centers in East Singhbhum district have been awarded the National Quality Assurance Certificate (ENQAS) Award. The recognized centers include Sarjamda and Pipla under the Community Health Center (CHC) in Jugsalai, Pungoda, Joria, and Laldih in Ghatsila, and Jagannathpur in Baharagora.
These centers achieved national high-quality standards, scoring over 80 percent. Each of these centres will receive ₹1.26 lakh annually for the next three years. Of this amount, 75 percent will be allocated for the development of the centers, while the remaining 25 percent will be distributed among the doctors, nurses, and employees.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi praised the achievement, acknowledging the hard work of all the officers and employees concerned. District Quality Consultant of NCAS, Mausami Rani, noted that the competition was of national-level, with checks at multiple levels, including a thorough evaluation by a team from Delhi. Scoring more than 80 percent was mandatory to qualify for the award.
The recognition marked a significant accomplishment for the district’s healthcare services.
