Jamshedpur Sikh preacher demands censoring of scene from Gadar 2

Jamshedpur, June 12: Young Sikh preacher Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri has resented to a particular scene in the film, ‘Gadar – 2’ that was shot in Chandigarh Gurudwara Sahib that went against the Sikh religion. Harvinder said, “We have no objection to whoever made the movie, but any wrong depiction of Sikh principles will not be tolerated. The Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee has also opposed this film.”

SGPC has also objected to the scene in which Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are allegedly shooting for a romantic scene inside Gurudwara. 

He has demanded strict action against the film’s director and actor. Harvinder has also urged the Jharkhand Gurudwara CGPC Chief Sevadaar Sardar Bhagwan Singh to ensure censoring of the objectionable portions of the film, ‘Gadar – 2’ and if the scenes were not removed, the movie will not be allowed to be screened in any movie theatre. Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri has also sent a mail to Gyani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib demanding legal action against the director and actor of the movie, ‘Gadar – 2.’

“We strongly objected to the shooting of objectionable scenes of Gadar 2 within the limits of Gurudwara Sahib,” the statement from SGPC said.

Furthermore, it has demanded an inquiry against director Anil Sharma and actors Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.
