Jamshedpur, April 30: A short film titled ‘Ek Vote Ki Keemat,’ crafted by three siblings from the city to promote voter awareness, has been honored by the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, at the office in Ranchi. The talented trio comprises Ruchika Narayan from Hilltop School (Class 2), Raghav Srivastava from Candy Floss School (Class 5), and Chirag Srivastava from Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya (Class 9).
Their film highlights the significance of each vote, drawing parallels with the value of saving one rupee daily for future financial needs. Entered into the Voter Awareness Contest, their creation, “Ek Vote Ki Keemat,” received a Special Mention.
The event saw the cooperation of GR8 Film with the Chief Electoral Officer’s Office, Ranchi, in organizing the contest. Amongst 41 awards distributed across short film, reel, music video, and poster-making categories, their film stood out among the 40 shortlisted entries.
Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar, along with other officials, lauded the children’s initiative and commended their effort to elucidate the importance of voting at a tender age. The jury scrutinized each submission meticulously before selecting the deserving recipients.
Encouraging further participation, Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar emphasized the role of social media influencers in promoting such endeavors. Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar stressed the vital role of social media in today’s context, underscoring its potential to enhance voter turnout.
The siblings’ two-minute film poignantly portrays the significance of voting, featuring an elder brother in the role of a grandfather imparting wisdom to his younger siblings. Through the narrative, they convey the message that every vote counts, akin to every rupee saved
