Jamshedpur Shyam devotees celebrate New Year at Bhatli Dham

Jamshedpur: The Shri Shyam Bhatli Parivar Charitable Trust (SSBPCT), Tatanagar unit, organized the New Year Festival on Monday night and the 79th Shyam monthly devotional songs on Tuesday night at Bhatli Dham in Odisha. On Monday midnight a cake was cut and offered to Shri Shyam and this was followed by fireworks to add glitter to the celebrations.

According to religious texts, if the first day of the year happens to be Krishna Paksh, it is considered to be auspicious and the devotees who get a chance to be in the Lord’s presence on this day are stated to be blessed.

Devotees at the two day religious festival celebrated the New Year at Bhatli Dham with a prevailing aura of peace and joy. Reputed bhajan singers Sarita Ojha (Mumbai), Mahabir Agrawal (Tatanagar), Niraj Jalan and Bunty Changil from Chandil added to the prevailing sense of piety and devotion. Pandit Ramji Parikh supervised the worship rituals on both days.

SSBPCT president Rajesh Pasari led the team of devotees and their families from Tatanagar, Chandil, Mosabani, Chakulia, Dhalbhumgarh, Sini, Kolkata, Rourkela, Saraikela and other places entrained for Bhatli Dham from Tatanagar. They are expected to be back on Wednesday by the Ispat Express.
