Eunuchs will now get ration card and Aadhar number in Jharkhand
Jamshedpur, Dec. 11: Appealing the people of Jamshedpur to make the city one among the top ten cities of India in the Swachhata Sarvekshan 2018, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday made a slew of announcements in Seraikela. Jharkhand annual budget for 2018-19 will be presented on January 23 for the second year in succession, he said.
Das said the budget will be presented on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He was addressing the Kolhan divisional pre-budget seminar held at Kashi Sahu College ground in Seraikela. It was the last of the series of such meeting (Pakur, Garhwa, Gumla and Palamau) which began from December 4 at Pakur.
Addressing the session, Das said the third gender (transgender community) will now get benefits of ration and Aadhar cards. He further said that Patanjali, the company started by yoga guru Baba Ramdev, will buy honey from those associated with the beekeeping business in the state. He said the state government will continue to remove unemployment from the state on a continual basis.
In order to know what the people are expecting from the government in the coming budget, the CM and the state bureaucrats are taking feedback through pre-Budget seminars. In the meeting, the scholars of various fields gave the government suggestions and ideas to ensure development of the state.
The state government is trying its best to eradicate poverty and unemployment. I want to see nobody homeless and unemployed in the state by 2022, said Das.
Significantly, in 2017 state government had advanced the budget session of the legislative assembly from last week of February to January and tabled the budget on January 23.
The CM iterated that the state government will make sure that its promises are fulfilled unlike the previous governments led by opposition which, according to him, failed to do so.
We not only make promises but also ensure that work is done at the grass-root level and suggestions obtained from the five pre-budget sessions would certainly be discussed and incorporated in the budget which would be village-oriented. I feel happy to share the progress we made so far. Before our government came to power, only 7000 schools had benches and desks out of a total of 38,904, today 31,705 schools have adequate furniture and the remaining will get it in the next few months, said Das.
The pre-budget session was also addressed by chief secretary RajbalaVerma, additional chief secretary (finance)and development commissioner Amit Khare, additional chief secretary (health) SudhirTripathy principal secretary urban development department, Arun Kumar Singh, rural development department secretary, Avinash Kumar, secretary mines and IT, Sunil Kumar Barnwal
