Jamshedpur, Jan 25: City markets were flooded with the Tricolour and idols of Goddess Saraswati on the eve of Republic Day and Vasant Panchami here on Wednesday.
Shoppers made a beeline to shops notwithstanding congestion of marketplaces due to overcrowding. Shops selling fruits and puja materials were also thronged by shoppers from morning till late evening.
Statues of Goddess Saraswati sold between the price range of Rs 1000 to Rs 10,000.
