Jamshedpur: Shashank, Anjali win Chess tournament at Sheyn International School

Jamshedpur: Sheyn International School set the stage for an Inter House Chess Tournament, providing a platform for the students to showcase their chess acumen. The day turned out to be a day of strategic brilliance. The students represented their house with vigor, determination and a thirst to win. The various twists and turns during the game had the audience on the edge of their seats and the opponents proved their mettle by overcoming the obstacles with wit and tenacity. At the end of their round, the opponents shook hands and congratulated each other on their brilliant plays. They also cheered for their teammates in other games.

Shashank Kumar (Class 11 Boys) of Phoenix House was declared the winners in category Std IX – XII while Uttkarsh Kumar (Class 12) of Pegasus House was the runner-up.

 

Anjali Pradhan (Class 12 Girls) of Unicorn House was winner in category Std IX – XII while Deepa Sahu (Class 8) of Phoenix House bagged second place.

 

In category Std. V – VIII Aarush Akshay (Class 8 Boys) of Griffin House was declared the winner followed by Rishit Raj of class 5 (Unicorn House). In girls category Pihu Pearl and Shourya Shree were the joint winners.

 

Rama Srinivas Principal (Academics) Sheyn International School congratulated the teams and encouraged others to participate saying that participation in such games promotes brain growth and raises IQ of the students.
