Jamshedpur, Jan 28: Basant Panchami heralds the worship of the Goddess of Learning, Ma Saraswati. This year the Deity will be worshipped on Wednesday, January 29 and Thursday, January 30 at many places in and around the city including educational institutions, residential colonies, clubs and individual houses.
The city markets were crowded today as Saraswati Puja organizers busied themselves in purchases of the Goddess’ idols, fruits and other essentials of offerings to the Devi of Learning.
