Educational institutions closed to accommodate jawans on Modi duty
Jamshedpur, Sep 13: In preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Gopal Maidan on September 15, several schools and colleges in the city have suspended classes from September 13 until September 16. The rally will involve heightened security measures, with around 5,000 security personnel, including Special Protection Group (SPG) officers, being deployed for the Prime Minister’s safety.
The district administration has directed 18 educational institutions to provide accommodation for the security forces during this period. As a result, many junior classes have been suspended o facilitate the necessary arrangements.
School administrations have been tasked with ensuring that proper accommodations are in place so that the personnel face no difficulties during their stay.
The institutions where security forces will be accommodated include:
- Dayanand Public School, Sakchi
- Utkal Samaj High School, Golmuri
- KV Tatanagar
- DBMS High School, Kadma
- Graduate College
- JH Tarapore School, Dhatkidih
- Rajendra Vidyalaya
- Karim City College
- Kerala Samajam Model School, Golmuri
- Sakchi High School, Sakchi
- DAV Public School, Bistupur
- Bharat Sevashram Sangh, Sonari
- Ram Krishna Mission Sister Nivedita Girls School, Burmamines
- Gurunanak High School, Mango
- Tata Workers Union High School
- Jusco School, South Park
- Co-operative College Multipurpose Hall
- Co-operative Law College
The temporary suspension of classes is aimed at ensuring a smooth security operation during the Prime Minister’s visit to the city.
