Jamshedpur School children lead rally for Road Safety awareness

Jamshedpur: In a commendable initiative to promote road safety, school children from local schools and madrasas organized an awareness rally in Azadnagar, Mango, on Saturday. The event was jointly conducted by the Human Welfare Trust and Young India. Chief guests at the rally included Traffic DSP Sanjay Kumar Singh, Azadnagar police station incharge Rakesh Kumar Singh, Mango traffic police station incharge Bandhan Bhagat, and representatives from the organizing entities.

The rally commenced from Azadnagar police station and proceeded to MO Academy, where the organization extended a warm welcome to the guests with bouquets. The rally concluded at Vivekananda School, involving children displaying posters on road safety, conveying important messages related to traffic regulations.

DSP Traffic Sanjay Kumar Singh, present at the event, highlighted the purpose of the rally, emphasizing the need to raise awareness in the community. He underscored the alarming number of deaths resulting from road accidents in the district, primarily attributed to the non-use of helmets by two-wheeler riders. Singh emphasized that while the administration is actively working to prevent road accidents, community participation is crucial. The rally served as a means to educate and sensitize the public about the importance of adhering to road safety measures.

Mukhtar Alam, Secretary of the Human Welfare Trust, expressed the significance of the effort in creating awareness to mitigate road accidents. Acknowledging the high toll of lives lost in such incidents, he stressed the pivotal role awareness plays in reducing road accidents. The program witnessed the active participation of children from schools and madrasas in Azadnagar, along with the presence of Asif Akhtar, Shahid Parvez, Moinuddin Ansari, Dr. Nidhi Srivastava, Aftab Alam, Tahir Hussain, and the entire school management.
