The methodology for the lottery has been independently determined by the private school administrations. The relevant information has been formally submitted to the district education department.

Supervisors to be deployed during lottery

Meanwhile, the district education department has formed a team of supervisors based on information provided by all schools. This team will oversee the lotteries conducted in various schools. Private schools have been instructed to provide lottery-related information to the department by January 4. However, only four schools have submitted the required information so far.

Additionally, a team of 10 parents will be present during the lottery, addressing concerns raised in previous years regarding potential irregularities.

Scrutiny of fake certificates commences

Before the lottery result announcement on January 20, a thorough scrutiny process has been initiated. Various school administrations are cross-checking documents submitted by parents. Though Aadhar cards are not mandatory, schools are also verifying them for the convenience of parents.

Verification of birth certificates

The main focus of the schools now is to verify the date of birth certificates of children. For those cases where doubts arise regarding the actual age of the child, private school administrations have requested the district education office to conduct checks through the RTI cell.

Software detects certificate forgeries

Several private schools in the city are using software to identify forged birth certificates. With the available data of all children who have previously applied for admission, schools are taking preventive measures to identify cases where false certificates may have been used for admission in the same school.

It is noteworthy that the district education department is taking proactive steps to ensure a fair and transparent admission process, addressing concerns and potential irregularities.
