Jamshedpur, June 11: Election for the post of Pradhan for the 2022-’25 term of the Sakchi Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee will be held on Sunday, June 12 between 8 am and 4 pm in Room no 4 at Guru Nanak High School at Sakchi.
The name of Satbir Singh Somu had not been included in the voters’ list but was added on the orders of the SDO of Dhalbhum. A total of 1,665 voters will exercise their franchise for the election of Pradhan of the Sakchi Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.

The current Pradhan of the Sakchi Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Sardar Harvinder Singh Mantu will be seeking a second term in the office while the other candidate for the same post will be Sardar Nishan Singh. Additional CCTV cameras have been set up to ensure transparency in the voting process.

Voters will be required to carry their Aadhaar, voter ID cards and driving licenses along with their photos to exercise their franchise. Mobile phones have been banned. Voters will have to form a queue at the school ground and await their turn to cast their votes. after casting their votes, the voters will leave the premises through the school gate opposite the Sakchi Gurudwara.
The election committee has expressed its gratitude to the district administration including SDO Sandip Kumar Meena, SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan for deputing a Magistrate and sufficient number of police personnel at the polling booth.
To make the entire polling process transparent, Passes have been issued to the candidates and their three polling agents to further make the polling process transparent. They will be present during the polling process and the vote counting. An appeal has been made to the candidates and their supporters to cooperate in in conducting the elections in a peaceful manner. For the smooth conduct of the voting process, the cooperation of Sardar Gurmeet Singh Tote, President of Telco Gurudwara Committee, Bhagwan Singh, President of Mango Gurudwara Committee, Parvinder Singh Sohail, Deputy President of Tinplate Union and others have been requested to be present throughout the polling process. Teachers of different city schools have been urged for counting of votes.
