Jamshedpur Run draws enthusiastic participants

 
Jamshedpur: The city witnessed an impressive turnout of over a thousand youth at the 12th edition of the Jamshedpur Run, a collaborative effort between CII Young Indians and XLRI Jamshedpur. The event commenced at 6:30 am at the XLRI campus gate, where participants were welcomed by Jamshedpur Football Club CEO Mukul Chaudhary and XLRI Professors Smitu Malhotra, Sanjay Patro, and Paramjyot Singh.
The marathon, flagged off by Harsh Aggarwal, Chairman of the Youth Project of Young Indians, featured diverse participation from men, women, girls, and youth. The race route covered XLRI campus, Jubilee Park, and various city locations, fostering unity among the residents.
Signifying the strong collaboration, CII Young Indians and XLRI, through their annual youth project, aim to engage students in various initiatives, including the Jamshedpur Run. The mini marathon has become a cherished tradition, bringing together XLRI students, professors, trainee athletes, professionals, and city luminaries.
The race concluded with the distribution of cash prizes totaling approximately Rs 55,000. The winners in different categories were:
Men’s Category: Arjun Tudu – 15:10, Jaswant Saroj – 15:19, S Pratap Rao – 15:20
Youth Category: Gopal Hansda – 16:55:70, Sunny Singh – 17:05:51, Nikhil Kumar – 17:07:34, Women’s Category: Sanghamitra Mahapatra, Sandhya Yadav, Manali Singh
Girls’ Category: Sneha Yadav.
The Jamshedpur Run continues to be a source of joy and camaraderie, embodying the spirit of community engagement and well-being.
