Jamshedpur: Review meeting on Naxal operation in Kolhan 

Jamshedpur, October 29: There will be a review meeting regarding the operation being conducted against Naxalites in Kolhan forest.

This review meeting will be held on October 30 under the chairmanship of ADG Campaign. Jharkhand Sector IG CRPF, DIG Ranchi, Kolhan, STF, Special Branch officers and SP Chaibasa will attend the meeting. During this, a strategy will be made on the challenges and operations during the Naxal operation. Operation has been resumed from October 10.

Police and paramilitary forces started a large-scale operation to uproot the CPI Maoist Naxalites who have a sizeable presence in the forests of Kolhan Reserve Forest area of West Singhbhum for years.

A large number of police forces have been sent to the Naxal stronghold taking shelter in Kolhan forest through the forest of various police station areas. This is the biggest operation against Naxalites so far. However, in Kolhan forest area, police and paramilitary forces have been carrying out continuous operations to gradually eliminate the camps of Naxalites. Police, Naxalites and common villagers have suffered losses during this operation.
