Jamshedpur, Sept. 15: Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Jamshedpur. 191 new cases were reported in East Singhbhum district on Tuesday, September 15.
Positive tally has climbed to 10571 while the death toll climbed to 272 with 3 deaths on Tuesday.
282 people recovered of the virus on Tuesday taking the total recovery to 7981 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 2318. The district administration spokesperson informed that 191 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Tuesday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 53944 test per million. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum stands at 2.6 % while recovery rate is 76.9%.

With a total of 1050 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Tuesday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has crossed 63,000.
During the day 5 deaths were also reported in the state. 3 from Jamshedpur and one each from Dhanbad and Bokaro succumbed to the virus on Tuesday.
On Tuesday a maximum number of 191 cases were found in East Singhbhum followed by 124 in Ranchi, 111 in Seraikela-Kharsawan, 90 in West Singhbhum, 94 in Giridh.
A total of 1266 number of people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid19 facilities during the day including 282 in Jamshedpur.
The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.
The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.
The hotels, dharmshala, lodge and guest houses reopened after around 6 months following SOPs and guidelines of the government. Restaurants and shopping malls also resumed after a long time.
