Jamshedpur, April 11: Rahul Rajak, a neighbor of a five-year-old girl in Sonari, has been found guilty by the Jamshedpur court of raping the minor.
While hearing the case on Tuesday, ADJ 1 cum Special Posco Judge Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay convicted the accused. The matter will be heard on April 15 on the quantum of punishment.
The incident is of 19 March 2020. It may be known that a five-year-old girl from a locality in Sonari was taken away by a neighbor Rahul Rajak and raped. He also threatened the girl that if she told this to anyone, he would kill her.
A week after the incident, when the girl’s stomach ached, the family took her for treatment. The whole matter came to light during the treatment. On enquiry, the girl narrated the entire incident, after which the matter reached the police station.
