Jamshedpur, Aug 29: A delegation of members of Ramlila Utsav Samiti met Additional District Magistrate (ADM), law and order, Nand Kishore Lal, on Monday and demanded construction of the cemented platform demolished by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee recently.
The delegation members said JNAC and Tata Steel UISL had demolished the platform recently during an anti-encroachment drive. They said they were assured of platform construction before Ramlila this year. But even after 15 days, no action has been taken to build the broken platform, said the members.
The Samiti members said they are planning to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ramlila at Sakchi Ramlila Maidan this year. But the work of leveling of Ramlila Maidan and construction of platform and pandal have not started, they said.
The ADM reportedly assured to get the platform built as soon as possible.
