Jamshedpur: The district administration has launched a high-tech, multi-layered security plan using drone surveillance and real-time video monitoring to ensure peace during the upcoming Ram Navami and Chaiti Chhath festivals.
High-Level Strategy and Coordination

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Karn Satyarthi chaired a high-level review meeting with all administrative departments and essential service providers. He issued firm directives prioritizing a “peaceful and harmonious atmosphere” with zero tolerance for security lapses.
Key measures from the administrative rollout include:
-
Aerial Surveillance: Drones and CCTV cameras will continuously monitor all procession routes.
-
Ground Security: Police will conduct flag marches and deploy rapid response teams in identified “sensitive zones.”
-
Infrastructure Prep: Teams are currently barricading routes, removing overhead obstructions, and enhancing street lighting on a “war footing.”
-
Strict Regulations: The administration has mandated a ban on liquor sales and restricted heavy vehicle movement on the day of the processions.
Civic Amenities and Emergency Preparedness
To support the thousands of expected devotees, the administration is coordinating with Akhara Committees and private partners like Tata Steel UISL and Tata Motors.
| Service | Action Plan |
