Jamshedpur Rain: Banna inspects waterlogging sites at Kadma, Mango

Jamshedpur, May 31: The heavy downpour from Sunday midnight through to the early hours of Monday resulted in waterlogging in several areas of Sashtrinagar in Kadma and Mango. Jharkhand Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta inspected Kharkai river bank and adjacent areas in Block # 5 of Sashtrinagar in Kadma where water had entered homes. During his visit to Mango he inspected Jawaharnagar Road # 14, Kabristan Road and other localities where the heavy rains had caused waterlogging.

After inspecting the damages in Sashtrinagar and Mango, Minister Banna Gupta instructed officials concerned to see to draining out of accumulated water, repair of drains and ensure that such incidents did not recur.

He also directed the Mango Municipal Corporation’s Special Officer to ensure sanitation work, proper drainage and uninterrupted power supply. He also directed the Special Officer to prepare detailed plans for construction of road and drains.
