Jamshedpur railway employees face ‘demotion’

Jamshedpur, Nov 23: In a bizarre case, RK Jha working in the operating department of Sini station of Chakradharpur division has been demoted instead of being promoted to a new post. He was scheduled to be promoted to the Senior Goods Guard in the year 2019 by the department but due to the mismanagement of the officers, he has been demoted back to Group D.

Jha is forced to face not only mental but financial troubles due to human errors of the officials of Chakradharpur division. In this case, Manish Pathak, Senior DCM of Chakradharpur was contacted on mobile phone to take his side in the whole matter but he did not reply. After the demotion, Jha made a written complaint of the matter to the General Manager of South Eastern Railway on September 16, 2020.

When the reply was not received, he complained about the matter to the Central Administrative Tribunal (Central Administrative Tribunal). In response, the Railways alleged that RK Jha did not complete his three-year tenure at Point-1A. Whereas RK Jha argues that there are 19 more employees with him who have not completed the tenure of three years.
