Jamshedpur, September 8: Railway employee Nisir Kumar Shekhar, 50, died after being hit by an engine in the electric loco shed under Parsudih police station on Friday morning.
Kitadih resident Nisir Kumar Shekhar was on night duty. During early morning engine shunting, he got hit by the engine where he died tragically on the spot.
As soon as the information was received, the railway staff reached the spot and informed the Parsudih police.
The police have taken possession of the body and started investigation. Giving information in this regard, Shashi Mishra, who worked with him, said that Shekhar was a 97 batch railway employee. He was on duty from 10 pm to 6 am when he died early morning during engine shunting.
The cause of Nisir’s death has remained a matter of discussion. According to the employees, Nisir was running in depression for the last few days. Probably he has committed suicide. However, the police is investigating the matter.
