Jamshedpur, November 1: In protest against the demolition of the company quarters in front of Azad Market by Tata Motors, the Convoy Drivers Association on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding action against the demolition of the quarters by the company through illegal means.
In this regard, union leader Gyansagar Prasad said that Tata Motors has given notice to the employees to demolish the company quarter located in front of Azad Market to build its stock yard. Due to which there is panic among the employees. Prasad said that despite Tata Motors having a lot of land in HUDCO and Jojobeda to build a stock yard, it has been decided to demolish the company quarter opposite Azad Market. The families of shopkeepers are dependent on this area. Due to the collapse of the quarter, hundreds of shopkeepers located in Azad will face starvation.
